‘Zombie’ deer disease is in 24 states and thousands of infected deer are eaten each year, expert warns

Estimates show that 7,000 to 15,000 animals infected with Chronic Wasting Disease are eaten each year and that number could rise by 20 percent annually, according to the the Alliance for Public Wildlife.
