“I am a big supporter of getting kids back to in-person schooling, especially those younger kids, kindergarten through third grade. It is so vital to them that they actually are around other children. I think that the long term consequences will be significantly more severe than of COVID itself if we don’t get them back, so they’re my priority. … I want to see my children back in school. I actually want them back in school not wearing masks.  I do think there are smart ways that the schools are able to do it. …teachers are essential workers. They are tasked with caring for our children and their development and they need to get back to work.”

Chicago Police Release Video: Protesters Attack Officers with Sharpened PVC Pipes, Fireworks

The Chicago Police Department released a video on Monday showing a protest turn violent at Chicago’s Columbus Park Friday night. The video appears to show coordination, with agitators changing from plain clothes into all-black as the rest of the crowd hides them from view. The video also shows police being ambushed with sharpened PVC pipes and an officer’s eye being damaged after an incendiary device explodes on the ground beside him.

Black Protesters Deface BLM Mural Outside Trump Tower

Protesters used black paint to deface a Black Lives Matter mural in front of Trump Tower in New York on July 18. They were later detained by police, according to reports.
