Hollywood not only helped Adolph Hitler they’ve also helped Obama on his two occasions and people should remember that when they attend some of the trashy movies Hollywood pumps out across the country, movies better left unattended. The ” Burlington Lifestyle set to music” is a disgrace to our city! On one hand I’m offended you allowed this on your site… but on the other hand the leaders of our community need to see where their guidance has gotten us. Burlington has a serious problem and our leaders need to wake up and take action.

Never before in the history of the United States of America has the citizens been afraid of its government since the revolutionary war.
• We the people no longer have the freedom to speak publicly about the government without fear of reprisal from the government.
• We the people no longer have the freedom to vote for the opposition without intimidation.
• We the people no longer have the freedom to express our religious beliefs in public without suppression from the government.
• We the people no longer have the freedom to protect our possessions without the threat of conviction of a crime against those who violate our freedoms.
• We the people no longer have the freedom to travel with in our country freely without giving our right to unnecessary searches and seizures.
• We the people no longer have the right to assemble without permission from our government.
• We the people no longer have the right to possess a firearm without permission from the government.
• We the people no longer have the right to purchase ammunition without telling the government.
We the people are slowly being taken out of the government that was to be given powers from us to a government that gives us the permission to move about. When did the people allow the change to take place? It seems that the revolutionary war was fought in vain to free the people of the America’s. Every war since then was fought to free people from a tyrannical government who committed acts of oppression to genocide. We are slowly becoming a group of people and country governed by a government that we have for so long have fought for others to keep them free to make their own freedoms which is governed by WE THE PEOPLE.
It is time to stand and take back the government and return it to the people.

This is a news story that was suppressed from the very beginning to keep the “uninformed voters” totally uninformed about the horrors common place in some abortion clinics in hopes of keeping the “uninformed” on the abortion band wagon rather than becoming pro-life should they have learned of this suppression of the news by the major news media.
The major forces in the liberal media – ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, NPR, NYT, and Washington Post – tried desperately to not cover the shocking trial of Dr. Kermit Gosnell, an abortionist charged with murdering 7 babies born alive during abortions – he cut their spinal cords – and myriad other heinous crimes committed in his “house of horrors” clinic in Philadelphia.
The “news” media deliberately tried to censor the story (in March and early April) because it reveals everything that is true and horrible about abortion: babies are butchered, dismembered, even when born alive, breathing on a table, clawing for life.
Report that to the American people on the national news – for weeks, like the OJ trial – and it will turn many “pro-choicers” into pro-lifers. It will truly be, as they say, a game-changer.
The left-wing media didn’t want that to happen, thus their virtual silence about the case. With that censorship obvious, the Media Research Center pulled out all the stops over the last six weeks to document, expose, and neutralize the “news” outlets and shame them into covering Gosnell’s trial.

Sounds like all the dirty illegal tricks and lying prior to the election are beginning to catch up with the Obama administration although naturally Obama himself knows nothing about any of it. That’s what happens when one leads from behind rather than from the front.
Hang on because there’s more scandal in the wings that’s yet to be reported by the idler press better known as the Obama press corps. Even today he’s trying to blow off what he said back before the election.

A lady from Illinois wrote a letter to the editor complaining about old tires littering the Roosevelt Avenue area near the Casino and in my opinion she had every right to complain because she pays Iowa taxes and fees regardless of the fact she doesn’t live here.
Some idler wrote a letter directly to the woman’s home castigating her for complaining because she doesn’t live here although she pays Iowa taxes each and every time she comes over here to make purchases.
As a matter of fact she shows better judgment by not living in Burlington and just coming here to make purchases. This lady shouldn’t get upset because some idler in Burlington writes an unsigned letter complaining to her about her concerns regarding tires stacked near the roadway.

To the Boy Scouts of America:
For more than 100 years Scouting has been one of the great traditions in America. Since it’s foundation millions of Americans have learned how to become leaders in their community and have embodied important moral values like honesty and service, constantly seeking to build a better community for themselves and generations to come.
Unfortunately, Boy Scouts of America continues to stand by a discriminatory policy that excludes gay Scouts and Scout leaders. Not only are many young Americans excluded because of this policy, countless non-gay Scouts are being told that their parents can’t participate. It’s time to stop teaching our youth that discrimination is acceptable.
I want Scouting to continue to be an American tradition and shape future generations by instilling the core values of Scouting in them, but I know it will not remain relevant unless it lifts the ban on gay youth and parents.
By signing this letter we recognize the importance of Scouting and the need to teach America’s youth the value of service, integrity, and leadership. We also ask that you lift the discriminatory policies that are preventing everyone from participating in Scouting activities when your National Council meets on May 23rd.

Here’s a good overview of why the Texas Fertilizer Plant explosion caused so much death and destruction.
Seems they have no basic zoning laws in Texas regarding where industrial plant are located.
Hopefully the planned plant down in the Weaver area won’t be sitting within a few yards of a school zone, old folks home, housing area or a hospital as the one is Texas was.
Just why was it built so close to civilization when Texas has plenty of tumbleweed country to put up a possible explosive device factory.
