Why are House Republicans moving quickly on a new bill to strengthen ObamaCare’s temporary insurance plan for people with pre-existing conditions.
Republicans should be working like hell to cut the funding for Obamacare since it’s the responsibility of the House to handle funding. Why their trying to shore up part of it rather than bring it all down is beyond sanity.

Melissa Harris of MSNBC is a person who popped up right up out of the slimy muck generated by the liberal misfits of this country. She’s the person who thinks your kids would be better off belonging to the entire community rather than to you, his or her parents.
This is about the dumbest most worthless thought process I’ve ever heard of and leave it to Americas worst network to produce this ignorant, brain dead idea. Just what is wrong with these people that spew this type of trash information of no value. I imagine Miss Harris supports every crackpot thought traveling around in the backwater of liberalism.

I’m not second guessing security at the marathon but how could a satchel clearly visible outside the retaining fence right next to a mailbox have never been seen by security or reported by anyone even those standing adjacent to the thing behind the control fence.
It’s my understanding the picture was taken where the second bomb exploded and the bomb can clearly be seen in a bag right next to the mail box.
Our country has so many illegal and green carders in our country it would boggle the mind trying to figure out if an home grown American terrorist is on the loose or a crackpot foreign terrorist. Unless someone comes forward with information this investigation could go on for a long time.
Any such plans for a big get together like the Boston Marathon should make sure no unattended bags are lining the route as appears to be the case in Boston. Trash containers or any containers should be check for IED’s.

People should understand all these sequestered cuts by Obama are to make it rough as possible on the American public so they will put pressure on congress to give into Obama’s leftist agenda and vote to cut Medicare, add more taxes, allow 11 million more illegals as democratic citizens, cut Social Security and so on.
This is what Obama wants and he will stop at nothing to push his agenda no matter how much American suffer because it’s all in his plan to shut down and degrade America to 3rd class status while he lives the good life at taxpayer expense.
Obama is a devil in sheep’s clothing and don’t ever forget it or think that he isn’t.

I saw a movie the other night titled “The Company Men” a story of three men who try to survive during a year in which their company undergoes corporate downsizing. The movie was made in 2010 and stars Ben Affleck, Chris Cooper and Kevin Costner.
The movie is a real eye opener about what many people endure in bad economic times such as the last few years have been for many American that have lost their jobs through no fault of their own.
Most of the people who lost their jobs can blame it on the government of our country that let everyone down by not performing their duties and/or failing to perform at anything other than taking their unearned pay checks and benefits. Reelecting failures seems to be the norm for American voters who elect people on what party they belong to rather than what they know and what they can do. Something like 90 percent of congress is reelected year after year and this is a congress that has failed Americans year after year plus we have a president that was reelected based on nothing but his ability to read speeches off a teleprompter.
A good example of failed government is Fanny and Freddy both of which are still billions in the red and should have been shut down years ago but they are probably still donating thousands of dollars to unscrupulous politicians while taking home large unearned pay checks. Nothing congress or government does works very well anymore and I doubt it ever will until the people actually clean house in Washington, something that is years overdue.
Our government fails to enforce gun laws currently on the books and then wants to pass other gun laws to water down the second amendment and this is the same government that put thousands of automatic weapons in the hands of Mexican drug cartels that resulted in the death of an American border guard and thousands of Mexicans. Of course they then lied about knowing anything about it and their still lying through one of the most inept Attorney Generals our country has ever had, the same one that doesn’t enforce immigration laws and gun laws currently on the books.
We also have many immigration laws that the government just ignores and now claims their working on another set of laws while they never enforced the laws of previous administrations. The current administration just does what it wants because the congress just sits there and lets the administration shred the constitution through executive orders and appointment of radical types to Czar Jobs bypassing congress.
What we have is a president and a congress that has duped the young, entitlement crowd, do nothings, college students and many others to get reelected. They prey on those that know little about government and only care about what they will get for nothing that’s robbed from the taxpayers who actually work for a living. Most of them don’t even know who the Vice President is or who their congressmen are but they know plenty about how to get the free money, food, phones, free housing, college loans and the rest of the stuff handed out by Obama to get their votes.
Take a look at recent gun violence that the liberal media are so blatantly biased, hypocritical, and censorial that it’s nauseating. This is perhaps nowhere more obvious than in their coverage of mass shootings or terrorism.
Whether it be the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing or the more recent shootings in Tucson, Aurora, or now Newtown, the liberal media do everything possible to pin the blame on conservatives and/or exploit the tragedies to advance a left-wing agenda, such as more gun control.
They had no evidence to tie conservatives to those terrible events; they just smeared conservatives by outright lying.
But when facts surfaced exposing the liberal views of California cop-killer Chris Dorner, and then a direct link between Floyd Corkins, who shot up the Family Research Council, and the leftist Southern Poverty Law Center and radical gay politics, the liberal media went mum. They said nothing or nearly nothing—minimal and selective reporting.
Because of ignorant people and a very poor educational system America has become nothing more than a has been of what it once was. We once had an America that worked and produced world class products that were sold all over the world. An America that has been sold off to the foreign countries because of the so called world economy which is nothing more than an excuse used by failed government that has sold out our country to the Chinese and other countries, a government that in all reality is just as rotten as any other third world country.
We have a nonfunctioning government of overpaid over benefitted bureaucrats that have no concept of what they should be doing and have no idea about the oath most of them took both elected and hired incompetents.
We now have a government that honors the incompetent non-productive citizens while deploring those that are contributing to the American way of life.

Connecticut hasn’t solved any of the mass shooting problems with their new gun laws because they haven’t even touched on the root cause of the gun violence at all. Liberalism just can’t figure out the real root cause of most of these mass shootings because their brains just can’t fathom the fact they’re the main cause themselves along with their arrogant political, educational and feel good irresponsible way of life.

I see where Obama is now going to teach American citizens how to budget their money when he himself knows nothing about living within a budget, proven by the fact he’s not produced one since being in office and the debt he’s accumulating.
Here’s the oath he took when elected: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.” He’s failed over and over again to protect and defend the constitution.
We already have laws about guns that are not enforced and we have numerous laws regarding immigration that go unenforced by Mr. Obama and he has the nerve to sue states that try to enforce our immigration laws already on the federal books. At best he only pays lip service to the constitution when he needs to cover his rear end.
Mr. Obama is far from preserving, protecting and defending our Constitution and has tried on many occasions to disregard it totally. Mr. Obama is a left wing liberal with no prior training for anything much more than reading a teleprompter and that’s been proven over and over again. People that believe in Obama are nothing more than fools and have been duped into thinking he’s some sort of messiah thanks to a crop of sick left wing lying journalist misfits working for the press and network news most of which are run by left wing radical management teams.
Just hang on because the worst of Obama is yet to hit us and when it does it will be over for the American way and history will have repeated itself again as it has for all past world powers such as Rome and England along with others over the years.

Seems to me once they come to a so called “Comprehensive Immigration Plan” there will be no hope for further reductions in the welfare crowds we already have in the United States because we’ll be adding something like 11 million more low end workers. The low end American workers have no desire to work anyway and will continue to be a burden forever.
This means we’ll utilize the new uneducated immigrants for the low paying jobs while those Americans already on the welfare rolls will just continue to live their entire lives as wards of the taxpayers and contribute nothing to the American system other than cost.
Of course there is little effort by the government to see those on welfare stop having babies with multiple no show fathers and seek work doing something that immigrants readily scoff up on a daily basis and most of the money they earn goes back to Mexico because they have no desire to be U.S. citizens and remain loyal to Mexico. Of course the government is so full of bureaucrats with grand ideas they fail to see what happens when these people are given a free ride just like the welfare people of which many are wards of the people their entire lives.
Anyone saying we need the immigrants is lying because we have so many working age Americans just sitting around playing video games, doing drugs, criminal acts, creating fatherless babies and just taking up space it would boggle the mind.
We have become a nation of deadbeat loafers because of government run schools and social welfare handouts without expecting any return on the wasted lives from these people.
Liberalism is killing out country through their sick agenda driven hate for how our country was founded and created that basically waste all the lives lost defending the American way over the 236 years our country has been around. Liberalism is nothing more than a group of bigoted hypocrites out to destroy America through any underhanded means they can create and get through the liberal courts forcing all Americans to lose freedom after freedom. I see where the medical students out at John Hopkins don’t want Dr. Ben Carson to speak at their graduation because he believes in the Constitution along with the first Amendment both of which the students don’t simply because Dr. Carson has different ideas about running the country something these ignorant students never heard of at college the seat of most liberalism learning.
The students think it’s constitutional to form a mob scene and demand Dr. Carson not speak simply because he disagrees with Obama. It’s obvious the students haven’t learned anything about freedom of speech at John Hopkins leaving them as out of touch as Obama himself. This just proves many of our colleges and university’s aren’t teaching students anything much about American other than the liberal or loser side of the equation.
Obama is a person that has never done anything but take from the trough as most liberals feel is their right through birth into liberalism. Obama never earned his Nobel Prize just like Al Gore who’s never done anything for humanity other than line his pockets as has Obama.
It’s just a disaster that the press and most TV news organizations have kept a large portion of the college students, welfare people, unwarranted disability receivers, minorities, illegal aliens, high school students and others uninformed about Obama to the point they know more about North Korea’s President Kim Jung-Un than Obama himself.
In my point of view Dr. Carson is much more American and honest than is our president who proves elections can be stolen by someone who has done nothing exceptional and never really held a job and knows little about anything governmental specially the Constitution just like the med students at John Hopkins.
Liberalism is mob-ism and laziness all rolled into one package plus their non-believers in the Constitution.

These quotes by Will Rogers are as true today as they were back in the 20s and 30s only the players have changed. The quality of our president and congress is 3rd world at best and continues to fall dragging us all down with them.
The president and the congress create our problems themselves and then run for reelection by running a campaign to clean up corruption and poor government in Washington, just a vicious circle with no end.
People sure are unhappy with Congress. Gallup says its approval rating is at 14 percent — the lowest ever. The timeless wit and wisdom of Will Rogers explains why:
• “Congress is so strange; a man gets up to speak and says nothing, nobody listens, and then everybody disagrees.”
• “We all joke about Congress, but we can’t improve on them. Have you noticed that no matter who we elect, he is just as bad as the one he replaces?”
• “When Congress makes a joke it’s a law, and when they make a law, it’s a joke.”
Rogers spoke these words in the 1920s and 1930s, but they’re just as true now. When voters put Democrats in office, they voted for change — voted for an end to partisan yapping. But the yapping has gotten worse.
They also voted for Democrats to end the sloppy, arrogant, fiscally irresponsible ways of Republicans, but Democrats were happy to pick right up where the Republicans left off.
As for jokes that are laws and laws that are jokes, is anybody happy with Congress’ immigration reform initiatives?
Of course there’s nothing new about the shenanigans of Congress:
• “We cuss Congress, and we joke about ’em, but they are all good fellows at heart, and if they weren’t in Congress, why, they would be doing something else against us that might be even worse.”
• “Never blame a legislative body for not doing something. When they do nothing, they don’t hurt anybody. When they do something is when they become dangerous.”
That is for certain. There are some nutty ideas floating around in Congress, but so long as they never become laws, no harm is done. And because our government is divided, thank goodness it’s hard for either side to ram any agenda through.
And the country usually runs better when Congress is unable to get things done.
Rogers saved some of his best barbs for the Senate, the allegedly august body of distinguished minds that is supposed to snuff out bad ideas and bills and advance good ones. Though even during Rogers’ time, things hardly ever turned out that way:
• “About all I can say for the United States Senate is that it opens with a prayer and closes with an investigation.”
• “Senators are a never-ending source of amusement, amazement and discouragement.”
• “The Senate just sits and waits till they find out what the president wants, so they know how to vote against him.”
I’m amazed that Rogers could describe Sen. Harry Reid some 70 years before Reid became Senate majority leader. Reid truly is a fellow who is “not as narrow-minded as he forces himself to be.”
That’s what is most agitating about our Congress. Too many members on both sides of the aisle are narrow-minded, partisan and looking to advance their self-interests.
The average American doesn’t like that. The average American knows that the country is facing giant challenges — entitlement programs that are going to bankrupt us, radicals who want to blow us up, spending that has spiraled out of control …
The average American wants these problems to be solved by people who are interested in the good of their country — not Republicans and Democrats interested in the good of their parties.
It’s no wonder we are disgusted. Of course, that’s nothing new either:
• “It’s getting so if a man wants to stand well socially, he can’t afford to be seen with either the Democrats or the Republicans.”
• “There is something about a Republican that you can only stand him just so long; and on the other hand, there is something about a Democrat that you can’t stand him quite that long.”
We can only hope our Congress begins to comprehend what the American people have been trying to tell it — that it needs to get in step with the wisdom and will of the people.
And that “our country is not where it is today on account of any one man. It’s here on account of the real common sense of the Big Normal Majority.”

Mike Sweet just can’t let Iraq go and constantly keeps bringing it up in his editorials in the Hack-Eye. Everyone by now knows how he feels about Bush; so why does he continue to harp about it, maybe his mind just locked up back in the 90s.
I don’t remember Mike harping about Johnson’s Vietnam War that killed over 55,000 Americans a fact that makes the Iraq war small potatoes in comparison. Johnson lied about the Gulf of Tonkin that got us into the shooting war. A fabrication at best that caused the deaths of between 55 and 60 thousands of American troops. Don’t forget we had the draft back then and many that went were not volunteers and surely didn’t want to be there while todays army is all volunteer.
If a Parrot kept repeating itself as Mike does I would think it would be sold off or be taught something else to say although I must say Obama never changes his tune either, according to him it’s always someone else’s fault for his failures.
