Elliott, a junior, attends West Burlington. Dupuis, a junior, attends Notre Dame
Claire Dupuis of Burlington, and Dayton Elliot of West Burlington, have been selected to attend the 2013 Youth Tour on June 14-21. The event is an all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C. sponsored by Access Energy Cooperative.
Claire and Dayton will join approximately 40 other Iowa students and nearly 1,000 students from across the country who have been selected by their electric cooperatives to attend the annual Youth Tour.
A junior at Notre Dame High School, Claire is the daughter of Chris & Virginia Dupruis. She is active in volleyball, soccer, basketball, dance team, jazz choir, and show choir.
Dayton is a junior at West Burlington High School and is the daughter of Jami Elliot. She is active in track, volleyball, cheerleading, Science, Spanish & Pep Clubs, Silver Cord, National Honors Society and jazz, pep, concert and marching band.
While on tour, Claire and Dayton will learn about American history and government. They will visit historical sights including monuments, museums, the U.S. Capitol, federal agencies and other points of interest. They will also have an opportunity to meet with their legislators in the House and Senate.
Access Energy Cooperative has been a part of the Youth Tour program for more than 45 years and currently selects two students each year to participate in the five-day trip. The students are selected through an application and interview process.

People should understand all these sequestered cuts by Obama are to make it rough as possible on the American public so they will put pressure on congress to give into Obama’s leftist agenda and vote to cut Medicare, add more taxes, allow 11 million more illegals as democratic citizens, cut Social Security and so on.
This is what Obama wants and he will stop at nothing to push his agenda no matter how much American suffer because it’s all in his plan to shut down and degrade America to 3rd class status while he lives the good life at taxpayer expense.
Obama is a devil in sheep’s clothing and don’t ever forget it or think that he isn’t.

West Burlington – Notre Dame’s Jeff Giannettino clears the high jump bar during the West Burlington Coed Relays in West Burlington Saturday. Giannettino cleared 6’6” to win the high jump.

West Burlington – Notre Dame’s Raegen Olson takes the Class-B girls’ long jump with a leap of 15’1” at the West Burlington Coed Relays Saturday in West Burlington.

West Burlington – Notre Dame’s Daryl Van Ryke runs the 100-meter dash at the West Burlington Coed Relays Saturday in West Burlington. Van Ryke won the Class-B title in 11:21 seconds.

West Burlington – Notre Dame’s Jazlan Boyd runs the 100-meter dash at the West Burlington Coed Relays Saturday in West Burlington. Boyd took fourth place in Class-B title with 13:90 seconds.

West Burlington – Notre Dame JV’s Grant Riley runs the 3rd leg of the Class-B 4×100-meter hurdle relay at the West Burlington Coed Relays Saturday in West Burlington. The JV team placed third in Class-B 4×100-meter hurdle relay.
