U.N. Agenda-21 Followers

Falcon:

Here’s a list of those in congress who are all for the UN Agenda 21 and wouldn’t you know it would be three of the biggest shysters in congress.  Names from article about Agenda 21 given are taken from Wikipedia article on Agenda 21.  Those who have spoken in Congress in support of Agenda 21 include Representative Nancy Pelosi, Senator John Kerry, and Senator Harry Reid.  All filthy rich and big buddies of Obama and about as left wing as can be with the exception of Harkin and Obama.  Anyone who would trust this group of fools after what they’ve done to the America congress are fools themselves.

Americans should watch out because these are the same people that have put our economy in the fiscal mess we now find ourselves.  Americans are being duped by the people elected to represent us a job they have failed to do for over four years.

Humane Society & U.N. Agenda-21

Falcon:

Americans had better wake up and keep an eye on the Humane Society of the United States HSUS and others, that are big advocates of the U.N. Agenda 21.  The HSUS was behind the unconstitutional law destroying the billion dollar a year gamecock harvest industry in Oklahoma’s rural counties. This UN Agenda 21 plan to put animals, fish and fowl above the human lives and destroy the rural people of America must be stopped, corrected and protections against UN Agenda 21 put in place immediately to protect unsuspecting American public.

Below is a site that gives further information on what the HSUS is doing behind the back of the American public.

Poverty and Local Government

Falcon,

I see where Burlington & Des Moines County of people living below the poverty level is hanging around 14% meaning approximately 6000 people around our county are basically wards of the taxpayers, by the way that’s 2% above the state average.

I would assume the largest percentage of them are living in Burlington a city on the verge of bankruptcy if not total economic failure because of a one party political system incapable of making positive decisions.  Our city management tends to think Burlington can earn subsistence through the taxes placed on tourism brought in by the Rec Plex which will never happen no matter how much they spend on that taxpayer owned operation.  I wonder if the Hotel/Motel employees earn what the people at the city run RecPlex earn?

Des Moines County and Burlington need good industrial jobs something the county and city are incapable of producing unless the taxpayers subsidize the hell out of them.  On top of no jobs we have hundreds of entitlement people from out of state moving in to the county as does most of Eastern Iowa with no marketable skills other than living off taxpayers.  Of course the union influence doesn’t help either and more or less hinders getting good jobs into this area of Iowa.  Throw in the left wing Hawk Eye and its left leaning editorial page and we are basically dead in the water at obtaining livable wage jobs.

A city having no jobs with an influx of the entitlement crowd can only mean further failure for a city like Burlington, a city with high crime, high entitlement population, questionable school system, rampart use of drugs, few livable wage jobs, high taxes and fees that go along with high state taxes and fees.  There is nothing but outrageous stealing from the taxpayers to support a top heavy and incapable management of state, city and county governments.  All government employees in Iowa are grossly overpaid and benefitted by the taxpayers while much of the private sector is forced to get entitlements in order to subsist after paying the high taxes and fees to support the government “Privileged Class”.

We have far too much crime in this city and county.  Burlington ranks third highest in the state for crime out of some 900 plus cities and towns in Iowa.  Keokuk ranks first in crime with Davenport second making the eastern part of Iowa the crime capital of Iowa.  Of course Easter Iowa is the democratic stronghold of Iowa which accounts for most of the mess this part of Iowa is saddled with.  Also, with the number of shootings experienced this year in Burlington our city will probably move up in the rankings for crime rather than down.

If it weren’t for Randy Winegard this town would probably eventually dry up and disappear in the hot summer breezes.  I often wonder what Burlington would do if it weren’t for the Winegard Corporation.  Of course there are several other firms supporting Burlington like Case, GE and the IAAP along with several others that pay livable wages over $10.50 per hour but there are far too many Burlington jobs that pay less than a livable wage forcing their employees seek entitlements to make ends meet.

Another extremely bad situation is after the first of the year we’ll be back in another bad recession because of Obamacare and Obama policies all lined up like dominoes to further destroy our industrial base along with the medical system.  We’ll have thousands of new regulations written by the Obama administration that will further saddle small business with regulations costing something like ten to twelve thousand dollars per employee which in turn will increase more job losses.

With this president the future looks dismal at best if one can call it that good.  Then we have a city management and a newspaper that on their own are destroying future growth for livable wage jobs here in Burlington through their editorial page and support for government and even private unions both of which tend to force good wage jobs elsewhere rather than Burlington.

Greedy Self Serving Losers

Falcon,

The biggest entitlement group in America is the congress a group of greedy self serving losers who rob the American taxpayer every year through excessive wages, excessive benefits, excessive holidays, extreme lazyness, excessive retirement and worst of all no accountability or ethics to the people they supposedly represent.

They make and pass laws that affect everyone except themselves.  They have robbed the American people through insider trading for years and all have become wealthy by stealing from the citizens and country they are supposed to represent.  They believe in nepotism when it comes to their own relatives and friends.  Basically these deadbeats are nothing but wards of the American people and need to be thrown out of office and replaced for dereliction of duty by people who want the job for reasons other than greed, power and selfishness which are the current standards set by the congress.

There should be a national vote to determine if congress must work 40 hours per week, get no more than four weeks vacation after ten years on the job, no work no pay and obey the same laws as does the public including DUI, insider trading, speeding tickets, stealing, fraud and all laws same as the public must.  Their benefits should be no more than the private sector gets and their healthcare should be under the same plan as the public is forced to have such as Obamacare.  No special health insurance unless the public gets the same choices as the congress actually the public should have the same laws and benefits as does the congress regardless provided they don’t live under our laws.  There’s nothing special about a congressman that a private citizen couldn’t do.

It’s time the congress get back to basics and that’s representing the people rather than themselves.

Congress has been representing itself for many years now while letting the people drift around with no leadership nor representation in Washington at all by these clowns currently in Washington.

Congress has replaced the used car salesmen and lawyers as the greedest, selfserving, losers placed on this earth.  It’s time for change and we need to get a movement going that puts our servants back into our control.  We have a situation where the tail is wagging the dog.

Why do they live there?

Falcon,

I can never understand why people who live on outer islands in states such as New Jersey would build homes just a stone’s throw from the ocean.

Just how stupid could a person be to build a home jutting out into the ocean on a sandy strip of low land and not know it’s capable of being blown away every hurricane season or damaged just from high seas?

It’s very hard to feel any sympathy for people who challenge Mother Nature in this way, a way in which they’ll come out on the losing end every time a hurricane or high seas occurr.

One can see homes in California that overhang cliffs with posts holding up parts of the house that hang over the cliff.    The last I heard is California is prone to earthquakes; so why would the state allow people to build homes overhanging cliffs with a few posts holding up the front of the house.  California is also prone to fires that in return can cause mudslides after heavy rains yet in California people build homes on hillsides in forested areas and then wonder why they get hit by mudslides.

I think Americans, who live in or on known dangerous areas such as on or near beaches prone to hurricanes, on earthquake faults, overhanging cliffs in earthquake prone areas, near rivers that constantly flood regardless of levees and so on should all be responsible for their own insurance and not be the responsibility of the taxpayer for their poor decisions.  If they want to live dangerously then it should be their problem should they lose their home.

Just take a drive along Highway 99 below the Burlington bluffs and one can see where huge sections of rock have fallen off and now lay in close proximity to the highway.  Some of those homes look like there at risk of a height adjustment sometime in the future, just take a look up there as you drive north on 99.  There’s a price to pay for the view and I would assume they accept the responsibility should their view vanish along with their home and they should not expect the taxpayer to be responsible.

People that risk their homes for a view or to be near water or overlooking town should also accept responsibility for their own risk taking and not be dependent on the taxpayer to bail them out.

There were pictures on the news of hundreds of homes or beach houses built on sandbars, at sea level just feet from the Atlantic Ocean with just inches between the homes all asking to be wiped out by a hurricane or high seas along the New Jersey coast, of course many states have the same problem along the U.S. coastal areas and not just New Jersey.

People that build homes in known dangerous areas should bear their own responsibility when disaster strikes over and over again by buying private insurance to cover their losses.   There are people along the Mississippi that have collected money from the taxpayer more than once for their losses caused by flooding and this is wrong simply because it’s a known risk and can be avoided if they didn’t build in the flood plain.  The taxpayer just shouldn’t be responsible for people that just make dumb decisions by placing themselves and their families in harms way.

California is Obama’s Dream. Is Iowa next?

Falcon,

This was written by Roger Hedgecock – former mayor of San Diego:

I live in California . If you were wondering what living in Obama’s second  term would be like, wonder no longer. We in California are living there now.

California is a one-party state dominated by a virulent Democrat Left enabled by a complicit media where every agency of local, county, and state government is run by and for the public employee unions. The unemployment rate is 12%.

yea.  Probably more like 25%.

California has more folks on food stamps than any other state, has added so many benefits and higher rates to Medicaid that we call it “Medi-Cal.”  Our K-12 schools have more administrators than teachers, with smaller classes but lower test scores and higher dropout rates with twice the per-student budget of 15 years ago. Good job, Brownie.

This week, the once and current Gov. Jerry “Moonbeam” Brown had to confess that the “balanced” state budget adopted five months ago was billions in the red because actual tax revenues were billions lower than the airy-fairy revenue estimates on which the balance was predicated.

After trimming legislators’ perks and reducing the number of cell phones provided to state civil servants, the governor intoned that drastic budget reductions had already hollowed out state programs for the needy, law enforcement and our schoolchildren. California government needed more money.

Echoing the Occupy movement, the governor proclaimed the rich must pay their fair share. Fair share? Consider this: The top 1% of California income earners already pay 50% of the state’s total income tax. (read that again all you Robin Hood wannabes) California has seven income tax brackets. The top income tax rate is 9.3%, which is slapped on the greedy rich earning at least $47,056 a year. Income of more than $1 million pays the “millionaires’ and billionaires'” surcharge tax rate of 10.3%. Brown’s proposal would add 2% for income over $250,000 . A million-dollar income would then be taxed at 12.3%. And that’s just for the state.

Brown also proposed a one-half-cent sales tax increase, which would bring sales taxes (which vary by county) up from 7.75% to as much as 10%. Both tax increases would be on the ballot in 2012. The sales tax increase proposal immediately brought howls of protest from the Left (of Brown!). Charlie Eaton, a sociology grad student at UC Berkeley and leader of the UC Student-Workers Union, said, “We’ve paid enough.  It’s time for millionaires to pay.” Go figure.

At least five other ballot measures to raise taxes are circulating for signa-tures to get on the 2012 ballot in California . The governor’s proposals are the most conservative.

The Obama way doesn’t end with taxes.

The governor and the state legislature continue to applaud the efforts of the California High Speed Rail Authority to build a train connecting Los Angeles and San Francisco . Even though the budget is three times the voter-approved amount and the first segment will only connect two small towns in the agricultural Central Valley . But hey, if we build it, they will ride.  And we don’t want to turn down the Obama bullet-train bucks that Florida and other states rejected because the operating costs would bankrupt them. Can’t happen here because we’re already insolvent! If we get into real trouble with the train, we’ll just bring in the Chinese. It worked with the Bay Bridge reconstruction. After the 1989 earthquake, the bridge connecting Oakland and San Francisco was rebuilt with steel made in China . Workers from China too. Paid for with money borrowed from China . Makes perfect sense.

In California , we hate the evil, greedy rich (except the rich in Hollywood, in sports, and in drug dealing). But we love people who have broken into California to eat the bounty created by the productive rich. Illegals get benefits from various generous welfare programs, free medical care, and free schools for their kids, including meals, and of course, instate tuition rates and scholarships too. Nothing’s too good for our guests.  To erase even a hint of criticism of illegal immigration, the California Legislature is considering a unilateral state amnesty. Democrat State Assemblyman Felipe Fuentes has proposed an initiative that would bar deportation of illegals from California .

Interesting dilemma for Obama there. If immigration is exclusively a federal matter, and Obama has sued four states for trying to enforce federal immigration laws that he won’t enforce, what will the President do to a California law that exempts California from federal immigration law?

California is also near fulfilling the environmentalist dream of de-industrialization.  After driving out the old industrial base (auto and airplane assembly, for example, air and water regulators and tax policies are now driving out the high-tech, biotech and even Internet-based companies that were supposed to be California’s future. The California cap-and-trade tax on business in the name of reducing CO2 makes our state the leader in wacky environmentalism and guarantees a further job exodus from the state. Even green energy companies can’t do business in California . Solyndra went under, taking its taxpayer loan guarantee with it.

No job is too small to escape the regulators. The state has even banned weekend amateur gold miners from the historic gold mining streams in the Sierra Nevada Mountains . In fact, more and more of California ‘s public land is off-limits to recreation by the people who paid for that land. Unless you’re illegal. Then you can clear the land, set up marijuana plantations at will, bring in fertilizers that legal farmers can no longer use, exploit illegal farm workers who live in hovels with no running water or sanitation, and protect your investment with armed illegals carrying guns that no California citizen is allowed to own. The rest of us only found out about these plantations when a workers’ open campfire started one of those devastating fires that have killed hundreds of people and burned out thousands of homes in California over the last decade.

It’s often said that whatever happens in California will soon happen in your state. You’d better hope that’s wrong.

Roger Hedgecock

Tiny GLBT Demographic

Falcon,

With a GLBT population of 3.4% only indicates how low Obama will stoop to gather a few meger votes and his stance on gay marriage proves the point.  And it also proves how a few special interest groups with loud mouths and bad manners can get their way with dimwitted lawmakers and judges as was proven here in Iowa in 2008 with the judges.

We are a country where the majority should be represented in Washington but are not because of spinless self-serving senators and representatives along with the president who has been incapable of doing anything very well while setting new low standards that hopefully will never be achieved again.

Obama’s USMC Aircraft Destruction

Falcon,

Hillary Clinton once jabbed at President Obama: “You campaign in poetry but govern in prose”. Today the appropriate reformulation would be: you campaign publicly but govern privately. Despite grandiose promises to be the most transparent administration in American history, essential information regarding our foreign policy engagements only makes its way to the light of day in a slow drip, and even then tortured by mendacious spin. Despite the ubiquity of modern media, our armed forces wage secret wars in shadows and suffer untold losses, unreported by either the Obama administration or its media minions

Exhibit A: on September 14th, American forces in Afghanistan suffered what has been called by one military expert “arguably the worst day in [Marine Corps] aviation history since the Tet Offensive in 1968” and the most debilitating hit a squadron of this kind has absorbed since World War II. More than two dozen Taliban fighters, many of them disguised in American military uniforms, attacked Camp Bastion, the home of a Marine Corps VMA-211 squadron. The damage done to the fleet of specialized combat aircrafts was devastating, destroying 8 of 10 Harrier AV-8B’s, an astounding 7% of the total carrier fleet reduced to smoldering rubble by charging suicide bombers with explosives strapped to their chests. Squadron Commander Christopher Raible was killed in the surprise offensive. It has been confirmed that US and NATO forces killed 14 of the attackers but it is still undetermined if any survived or escaped or how many precisely were involved in the attack.

All available evidence indicates that this was a meticulously strategized and professionally executed attack, as tactically sound as it was bold. This has lead to expert speculation that the invaders were somehow trained or supported by either the Pakistani-sponsored Haqqani network, which has a significant presence in Afghanistan, and that it acted on intelligence provided either by careful and long term reconnaissance or inside information. It has also been hypothesized that the assault was motivated to specifically target Prince Harry, who was stationed at British-run Camp Bastion as part of a helicopter regiment and was planning on celebrating his birthday the next morning.

According to John Gresham, an expert at the Defense Media Network, some of the damage done is literally irreparable:

“Eight irreplaceable aircraft (the AV-8B has been out of production since 1999) have been destroyed or put out of action – approximately 7 percent of the total flying USMC Harrier fleet. Worse yet, the aircraft involved were the AV-B+ variant equipped with the APG-65 radar and AAQ-28 Litening II targeting pods – the most capable in the force. Given the current funding situation, it’s likely that the two damaged AV-8Bs will become spare parts “hangar queens” and never fly again. A Harrier squadron commander is dead, along with another Marine. Another nine personnel have been wounded, and the nearby Marines at Camp Freedom are now without effective fixed-wing air support. The USMC’s response to this disaster will be a telling report card on its leadership and organizational agility.”

Burlington City Hall Sold Us Out

Falcon:

Looks like city hall sold out the taxpayers again by giving Mr. Whittkamp a $500,000 discount on that spec. building in the Industrial Park plus unknown TIF money; so the taxpayers pay his police, fire, school and other taxes for him for who knows how many years.

Each of the seven new employees will cost taxpayer close to $75,000 and they’ll probably not be paid a livable wage.  It will probably take each of the seven 188 weeks to earn the equivalent of $75,000 @ $10 per hour or about 3.6 years to gross that much money.  Of course $10 per hour is no where near a livable wage in Burlington or West Burlington and probably not anywhere else in Iowa.

We’ll may eventually find out just how much the taxpayers are being ripped off provided there’s any sunshine left down at city hall.  Maybe we could have sold him city hall since what comes out of there is never good for taxpayers.

One Voter’s Feelings about Obama

Falcon,
This was taken about a block from my apartment.
I think this voter’s sentiment is clear.
-See you on election day
