Academic Hoax

Three people conducted what they call a ‘grievance studies’ experiment. They wrote fake papers on ridiculous subjects and submitted them to prominent academic journals in fields that study gender, race, and sexuality. They did it to “expose a political corruption that has taken hold of the universities,” say the hoaxers. They were surprised when seven papers were accepted. One claimed that “dog humping incidents at dog parks” can be taken as “evidence of rape culture.” It was honored as “excellent scholarship.”

DNA tests reveal 30% of so-called ‘migrant families’ were unrelated

Click here: 30% of rapid DNA tests of illegal immigrant adults who were arriving at the southern border with children revealed the adults were not related to the children. “There’s been some concern about, ‘Are they stepfathers or adopted fathers?'” the official said. “Those were not the case. There are 17,617,000 government employees and they are paid better than private sector workers.

Click here: Government employees salaries are 14.2 percent higher than private-sector workers and 6.1 percent higher than the self-employed. Government workers have the highest median earnings at $53,435, higher than both private sector workers and the self-employed. Private sector worker median earnings were $46,797. Self-employed median earnings were $50,383. The median earnings of state and local government workers ($51,202) were higher than the median earnings in any of the four categories of private-industry and self-employed workers. But federal government workers had the highest median earnings of all ($66,028).

Twitter echo chamber? 10% of US users generate 80% of tweets

Pew Research Center found that 10% of Twitter users account for a huge chunk (80%) of content, generating a median of 138 tweets per month. These top 10 % of active Twitter users have a distinctive profile: They are on average younger, more likely to be Democrats, more likely to be female, and more likely to tweet about political issues.
