WB Pool’s first of two leaking pipes found and uncovered

Crews from Millard’s, and West Burlington Public Works (with help from Ben at Drain Doctor), find and uncover the first of at least two leaking pipes under the floor in the shallow end of West Burlington City Pool. The Leak rate under the pool floor accounted for about 70,000-gallons lost per day before being shut off.

Taxpayer info: West Burlington’s Pool construction cost $2.5-million dollars in 2007, before opening in 2008. The pool has operated at a loss since opening in 2008, losing over $1.2 million in total operational, repair, and maintenance costs over its 16-years of existence.
